Ways to pay

 

Our hospital, outpatient locations and physician practices welcome most insurance plans.  See our insurance information.  If you have a participating health insurance plan and provide us with your policy information, we will file your insurance claims for you. Insurance coverage, co-pays and deductibles for office visits and inpatient and outpatient procedures are determined by your insurance plan and are expected at each visit. Please check with your insurance company to understand your coverage and your responsibilities. Please advise us of any changes to your insurance information or mailing address.

  • For your hospital bills, please contact one of our Patient Accounts managers to discuss available payment options at 718-283-6740. Please be sure to bring your insurance card to your appointment.

  • For your physician bill, you can contact our Physician Billing office at 718-283-8700 for more information.

  • For online payment, please visit our Payment Portal at http://maimonidesmed.ixt.com

  • If you do not have healthcare coverage you will be asked to pay a portion of your estimated charges at the time of service. You may contact Financial Services at 718-283-7790 to discuss available payment options.

  • If you do not have healthcare coverage and cannot afford to pay for needed services, please contact our financial counselors to discuss our Financial Assistance program.

About Your Hospital Bill

A hospital bill is for services provided at a Maimonides Medical Center or outpatient facility.

  • Room and board

  • Diagnostic testing, treatment of illness or medical services

  • Medical supplies

  • Medication

Ways to Pay Your Bill

Pay Online

Maimonides Medical Center offers a convenient way to review and update your account and pay your bill online. All our online services are free to use. Please visit http://maimonidesmed.ixt.com.

 

Pay by Phone

A customer service representative will be happy to assist you with any questions that you have regarding your bill. Please call Patient Accounts at 718-283-6740 (8:00a.m. - 5:00p.m. Eastern Time).

Forms of Payment we accept

If you provide insurance information, we will file your insurance claim for you. Once your insurance company has paid, you will receive a bill that will reflect any remaining deductible, co-payment or patient responsibilities.

Financial Assistance Plans

If you do not have healthcare coverage you will be asked to pay the full amount of your estimated charges at the time of service. If you cannot pay the entire estimated amount, we will ask you to speak to a financial services counselor at 718-283-7790.  Learn more about our financial assistance plans.

 

About Your Physician Bills

A physician bill is:

  • Physician bill for each physician who performed a service or consultation while a patient at a Maimonides Medical Center or outpatient facility

  • Physician bill for services provided for a primary care or specialist office visit
