At a recent evening of baseball at MCU Park, Judy Tepperberg was honored as a “Winning Woman.” Judy is a highly-respected and successful businesswoman who takes time from her busy schedule to mentor young professionals, and to lead numerous charitable causes. Judy is a Partner at the TAO Group, an internationally renowned restaurant and nightlife company that develops, owns and operates many of the most successful entertainment venues in the United States and abroad.
But before this glamorous career, Judy began to care about folks in her community while growing up in Brooklyn—the daughter of a physician who headed Pediatrics at Maimonides Medical Center for many years, and a mother who instilled in her the importance of giving back to those in need.
Because of her parents’ inspiration, Judy became a driving force behind TAO Cares, and has expanded her family’s legacy of giving to the betterment of Brooklyn and beyond. TAO Cares is the charitable arm of TAO Group. Under Judy’s guidance, TAO Cares supports local and national charitable organizations that benefit a broad array of causes—like Autism Speaks, Charity Water, Covenant House and the American Cancer Society.
Maimonides and the Brooklyn Cyclones recognize Judy Tepperberg as a Winning Woman—a shining example of what young people should aspire to in their lives and careers.
