Curriculum Overview

The residency training program ensure all of our graduates are equipped for a successful career in clinical and academic pediatrics. With a competency-based curriculum, which incorporates protected time for didactics, faculty and residents alike are energized to participate in activities that fulfill the program’s educational mission. All lectures are presented as a part of a conference schedule adapted to facilitate maximal attendance by all trainees. Additionally, web-based and live board review sessions complement the curriculum to enhance the efforts of trainees preparing for the pediatric certification exam upon graduation. Our Faculty Advisor Program continues to flourish serving as the basis for successful mentoring relationships. Such partnerships have resulted in collaborations yielding scholarly products as well individualized learning plans that have served many trainees in their growth as academicians. All of these curricular features guarantee our graduates a thriving career in the field of pediatrics.

How To Apply

Applications can be submitted this fall through ERAS at www.aamc.org/eras. Complete details and timelines for individual programs are available on the ERAS website.

Three letters of recommendation are required. We review a dean’s letter, transcript, USMLE/COMLEX scores etc. Both J1 visas and a limited number of H1 visas are accepted. No visa type is guaranteed and a passing step 3 result is required by match day for the possibility of an H1 visa.

We do not have minimum score requirements; however, we do look at number of attempts. We do not require US clinical experience, but it is favorable. We prefer recent graduates, however, we will consider three years from date of graduation with clinical experience. In all, we review the application in its entirety. As all applications are accepted through ERAS, we do not accept paper applications. We do not offer pre-matches.
