Fellows are encouraged to partake in clinical research projects during their time at Maimonides. There are diverse research opportunities, including clinical trials, clinical chart reviews, and literature reviews. We have a funded basic science laboratory, headed by Theresa Jacob, PhD. Our vascular department is also an active participant of the SVS Vascular Quality Initiative (VQI) and ACS National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP) which allows for access their large databases for research projects. Fellows are encouraged to submit to, and attend, local and national meetings. Some of the ongoing clinical projects are listed below.
