Research & Useful Links

Research

The division maintains an active research program that has resulted in numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at national meetings. Fellows are expected to participate in our ongoing clinical or laboratory-based research projects, as well as to originate at least one study of their own. They are also required to prepare interesting clinical cases for presentation and publication. Current research projects include:

  • Gum Arabic for the treatment of Clostridium difficile colitis
  • Antibiotic resistance in Brooklyn
  • Perinatal infection with methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus
  • Polymyxin vs. tigecycline for resistant grain negative infections
