Zakariyah Mir was the first baby born in the New Year at Maimonides Medical Center, where over 8,500 babies are born annually. Zakariyah arrived at 12:44 AM on January 1, 2019, weighing 7 lbs., 3 oz. Pictured here is the lovely newborn with his proud parents, Mr. Mir Rashid and Mrs. Afifa Mir. Maimonides wishes the Mir family, and all of our patients and their loved ones a happy and healthy 2019!
