The Maimonides Heart Rhythm Center at the Maimonides Heart & Vascular Institute in Brooklyn, NY, is comprised of a renowned team of cardiologists specializing in the electrical activity of the heart (electrophysiologists) rendering care to patients with an abnormal heart rhythm (arrhythmia).
Our board-certified electrophysiologists work with specially trained physician assistants to ensure continuity of care which begins with the initial arrhythmia consultation at the Heart Rhythm Center and extends to the individualized treatment plan based on the patient’s specific condition. Follow up is also tailored to the patient based on their type of atrial or ventricular ablation therapy or device implant.
Outstanding Patient Outcomes
In addition to advanced and complex heart rhythm treatments, Maimonides has become the leading institution in the Tri-State region performing over 140 Hybrid Afib Ablations which combines the expertise of cardiothoracic surgery and electrophysiology in one procedure. 85% of patients who underwent the Hybrid AFib Ablation Approach remained in Normal Sinus Rhythm (NSR) at their one-year follow-up appointment.
The Heart Rhythm Center has actively participated in numerous NIH and FDA clinical research trials for over 20 years. The Cardiology research team works closely with the Heart Rhythm team to provide the patient with the most innovative therapies.
