Open and minimally invasive procedures for complex vascular problems

Our Department of Vascular Surgery offers comprehensive diagnostic, clinical and surgical services for patients with vascular disease and associated conditions. Under the direction of Dr. Robert Rhee, our vascular team is renowned for its treatment of multiple complex vascular problems.

Conditions we treat include Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms (AAA) and other aortic and arterial aneurysms, Aortic Dissections, Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD), Carotid Artery Disease, Mesenteric Ischemia, Hemodialysis Access, and Venous Disorders.

The best vascular care

Our surgeons are experts in traditional open surgery and therapeutic options based on minimally invasive, endovascular and catheter-directed techniques. These include needle based procedures such as angiograms and the placement of balloons and stents in blocked or aneurysmal arteries that can avoid the major incisions and recovery associated with more traditional open surgical techniques.

Our two state-of-the-art hybrid operating rooms, with GE® technology, are the first of their kind.  Here, our specialists combine surgical and minimally invasive catheter techniques to maximize your care.

You can see our team in our outpatient office or at the Aortic Center at Maimonides, which provides multidisciplinary specialty aortic care. In addition, patients with venous concerns can visit the Maimonides Vein Center.

Our vascular team includes vascular and endovascular trained surgeons, nurses and support staff who provide quality treatment with the high quality care you expect from Maimonides Medical Center.
