BE PHYSICALLY ACTIVE - EVEN WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE MUCH TIME
Being physically active has many health benefits - it can help you live longer, decrease stress and chances of becoming depressed, sleep well at night, have stronger muscles and bones, stay at a healthy weight, and more.
Experts recommend that children be active for 60 minutes each day, and adults should try to get at least 30 minutes of physical activity every day.
It's possible to be physically active even when you don't have much time. Your daily activity doesn't need to happen all at once. Being active for just 10 minutes at a time, a few times a day, is great for your health
When you don't have a lot of time during the day - between work, school, errands, and other activities - try doing short activities several times during the day. That way, you don't have to designate a separate time for exercise
Take the stairs whenever possible
Walk your kids to school, walk to the grocery store or when running errands, take a 10 minute walk during your lunch break
Keep comfortable shoes and clothes with you at work throughout the day so you can take a walk
When you're watching your kids at the park or while they're playing sports, try walking up and down the field or park with them instead of staying still
Dance to the music at home with your family. Instead of watching TV, try listening to music and start a dance party
