Radiology

The Maimonides Radiology department serves as an integral part of patient care, assisting in cardiac care, stroke, women’s imaging, virtual imaging (colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, vascular endoscopy), and non-invasive cardiovascular imaging (CT/MR).

We utilize PACS/Voice Recognition with incorporated Teleradiology for medical image management/ distribution and reporting. These technologies allow our staff to provide efficient, patient-focused imaging services in a filmless and paperless environment.

State-of-the-Art Radiology Equipment and Care

Our radiology team has access to state-of-the art technology to provide patients with detailed and accurate diagnoses and optimal treatment plans.

Maimonides works closely with affiliated community physicians by providing them with access to our picture archival and teleradiology enhancement systems. Our advanced technology allows images to be enhanced to provide the best angle for review, without having to retake the image. The image will remain on the system for retrieval later, complete with the patient’s report. The ability for multidisciplinary consultations with several physicians at different locations is possible with this technology. Our goal is to minimize the amount of time it takes to receive an accurate diagnosis.
