Q.  How long does it take before I can start volunteering?
A.  Once your application is reviewed and it appears likely that appropriate placements will be available, you will be invited for an interview to discuss your past experience and skills, as well as the volunteer opportunities available.  If accepted, you will be scheduled for a 2.5-hour orientation. For some programs, there are additional trainings involved.

Q.  Do I need medical clearance?

Our medical requirements include: an annual physical exam and a PPD test within 6 months both completed by your private physician as well as an official lab report showing immune titers to measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella. We will give you the medical packet at the time of the interview.

A.  Volunteering does necessarily not lead to paid employment. However, you will get experience and gain skills necessary for future career opportunities.

Q.  Can I volunteer whenever I want?
