The Psychiatric Residency Program at Maimonides Medical Center offers a comprehensive, collaborative and enjoyable experience in psychiatry training.

We are located in the heart of Brooklyn, New York City. Our hospital serves a very diverse population from almost every cultural, ethnic and socioeconomic background. The distinctive curriculum includes training in all mental health and psychiatric care settings including, adult inpatient services, outpatient services, community day treatment, child and adolescent services, substance abuse, psychosomatic medicine, community outreach, and emergency psychiatry. We offer many opportunities for research and scholarly activities; many of our faculty members are well-versed and practiced in the research process. Our residents enter competitive subspecialty fellowships in all fields. Graduates of our program become expert clinicians able to practice in any adult setting.
