Dr. Zagorin started her career as a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner in the Department of Medicine, Division of Geriatric Services, at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY in 2002. She currently serves as a Clinical Advisor and Scholar at the Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing-NYU College of Nursing and serves as a Director of Undergraduate Program at Wagner College School of Nursing. Her goals are to help vulnerable older adults to get the best possible care in the comfort of their home, optimize their quality of life, and provide comfort at the end of life. Honors and Awards include the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certificate of Recognition, Sigma Theta Tau National Nursing Honor Society, Congressional Certificate for Outstanding Achievement in Nursing, Switzer Foundation Scholar for Nursing Achievement, Scholar at the Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing Scholar Brookdale Foundation Group Scholar NYU College of Nursing, Outstanding Adherence to the Protocol Award FOCUS Transfusion Trial, and Maimonides Medical Center Certificate of Achievement for Service to the Hospital, Certificate of Recognition from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and the Congressional Certificate for Outstanding Achievement in Nursing.
