Welcome to the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Program at the Maimonides Cancer Center

Our pediatric hematology/oncology team is staffed by board-certified hematology/ oncology physicians who provide exceptional and compassionate care to children with cancer. We treat all problems related to tumors, cancer and diseases of the blood. Using basic testing and sophisticated laboratory procedures, your child will receive the most advanced care and symptom control, including pain management from our specially trained pediatric staff. All patients are evaluated for enrollment in standard and experimental protocols for clinical trials.

Our services are offered in a child-friendly environment, in close relationship with the Child Life program, and stress education and support services. Our staff offers a clinical setting that strives for high quality and compassionate care.

Oncology conditions treated include:

• Sickle cell anemia
