Prema Ramaswamy, MD

Dr. Prema Ramaswamy is the Co-Director of the Pediatric Cardiology Division, Department of Pediatrics, at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.  Presently, she is also an Attending in Pediatric Cardiology at Lutheran Medical Center and Coney Island Hospital.   Dr. Ramaswamy completed her residency in pediatrics at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein School of Medicine, followed by a fellowship at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center.

Dr. Prema Ramaswamy has published and is active in research.  Dr. Ramaswamy is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and a resident fellow of the American College of Cardiology.  She was the recipient of a Merit Scholarship from MGMMC, was awarded the University Gold Medal for Pharmacology, and was honored with a Merit Scholarship from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya University.  She is part the dedicated team of highly trained pediatric cardiologists at Maimonides, providing comprehensive evaluation and management of children, from fetus to adolescent, with any heart related problems.  We offer both in-hospital and outpatient consultations – we are always here for your child. We evaluate and deliver care that is child-friendly, in an environment created just for them, to reduce their anxiety.
