Weight Down, Health Up!
At the Maimonides Infants & Children’s Hospital, we care about keeping your child active and healthy. We have created the Kids Weight Down Program, designed with this important concern in mind. Childhood obesity is on the rise – almost 20% of children under age 20 are obese, and 30% are overweight. Over eating and under exercising can lead to health problems that can stay with children for the rest of their lives.
The Kids Weight Down Program works with overweight and obese children and teenagers, as well as their families, to teach healthy food and exercise habits. The expert staff at the Maimonides Infants & Children’s Hospital guides groups as well as individuals on topics of nutrition, exercise, and counseling. So with our program, everyone can keep the weight down, and the health up.
