Partnering with the Family

At the Maimonides Infants & Children’s Hospital, we partner with the family to ensure the health and well-being of the child. We openly communicate with the family throughout the child’s stay, and plan the discharge the day the patient is admitted. The family has time to ask questions, learn about the expectations and goals of treatment, and is fully instructed on what to do once the child is home. We evaluate and deliver care that is child-friendly, in an environment created just for children.

The Maimonides Infants & Children’s Hospital is committed to the coordination of all aspects of your child’s medical health: what we refer to as the Continuum of Care.  From the child’s primary care to specialist visits, from inpatient to out-patient, from home care to even social work needs; all facets of your child’s medical past and present are followed and organized by our medical experts, and shared with you, the family, our partner in your child’s health.
