Join the Family Advisory Board
Has your child been a patient at the Maimonides Infants & Children's Hospital or received care at one of our clinics? We invite you to join our Family Advisory Board
The Family Advisory Board at the Maimonides Infants & Children's Hospital is a diverse, parent-led group that works in collaboration with the leadership of the Children’s Hospital to promote family-centered health care.
As a parent, you know what it's like to bring your child to the hospital, to hear a scary diagnosis, to wait anxiously while your child is in the operating room, or to live day-to-day with a child who is chronically ill. As a member of the Family Advisory Board, your experience and knowledge will allow us to enhance the practices of family-centered care here at the hospital. Families are our teachers, and you have the ability to directly help improve the care delivered by our pediatric doctors, nurses, residents, child life specialists and staff.
To become a member, simply fill out the
Family Advisory Board Application and return it to the address indicated on the form.

What is patient- and family-centered health care?
Patient- and family-centered care is an approach to health care that shapes policies, programs, facility design, and day-to-day staff interaction.
