Clinical Responsibilities

During the first year the fellow will focus on primary clinical responsibilities. As the year progresses the fellow will intermittently serve an ad hoc supervisory role in the pediatric emergency department and will be available for consultation to the pediatric and emergency medicine residents. Towards the end of the first year the fellow’s role will become more formalized as they assume a supervisory position. During the second and possibly third years the fellow will continue their supervisory role within the pediatric department during shifts where faculty will serve as back-up. They will further expand their didactic teaching, administration and research roles in the second and possibly third years.
