Research

All residents in the Department of Medicine at Maimonides are encouraged to pursue research and scholarly endeavors. The department provides its residents with the resources, time and logistical support to be successful in this area. The Department Chair personally mentors and reviews the research endeavors of every house officer.

For those who have a strong interest in research, faculty will assist the resident to identify and select an appropriate research topic that is aligned with his or her career plans and fellowship education. Maimonides residents have won national awards for, both, clinical and basic science research over the last several years.
