Curriculum

In addition to an extensive clinical exposure to all forms of child maltreatment, fellows will participate in a comprehensive research curriculum spearheaded by faculty with extensive experience in health services research. Research and career mentorship is integral to the research infrastructure and is a key component of this curriculum. During the second and third years of fellowship, fellows will develop and conduct research in child maltreatment, including, but not limited to, health disparities, access to care, quality improvement, cost effectiveness, decisionmaking/decision-support and epidemiology.

At the completion of training, fellows will be eligible to sit for the Child Abuse Pediatrics Sub-Board examination. Graduates will be equipped to seek a faculty position requiring clinical expertise in Child Abuse Pediatrics and possess the skill set necessary to design and conduct clinically relevant research to advance the field.
