How to Apply

Applications for residency (and many fellowship) programs should be submitted through ERAS at www.aamc.org/eras.

In addition to the application, please submit three letters of reference – one of which must be from the residency program director – a one page personal statement, curriculum vitae, USMLE scores and a copy of medical school transcripts.

Complete details and timelines are available on the ERAS website. Applications for most residency programs can be submitted beginning September 1st; however, you can begin the process of preparing your application prior to that date through the ERAS website. Please check with the individual residency or fellowship program for initial and final dates of submission. For example, the Department of Pediatrics accepts applications for its residency program beginning September 1st and ending December 31st; and the Department of Orthopedic Surgery accepts applications for its residency program beginning September 1st and ending November 1st.
