Dr. Schwartz interests include high-risk pregnancy and resident education.
Dr. Schwarz is well published in the area of general obstetrics and gynecology and infectious diseases in OB/GYN. In 1999 he received the Career Achievement Award from the Infectious Disease Society for Obstetrics and Gynecology, and in 2000 he was awarded the APGO/Wyeth Ayerst Career Achievement Award.
In the course of his career he has served as President for the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, New York Obstetrical Society and the Brooklyn Gynecological Society. Dr. Schwarz is a distinguished service professor emeritus of obstetrics and gynecology at State University of New York Downstate Medical Center. He is also a national obstetrical consultant for the March of Dimes. |
