Sergei A. Sobolevsky, M.D. is the Director of Interventional Radiology at Maimonides Medical Center.
Dr. Sobolevsky offers a large array of Minimally Invasive Image Guided Targeted treatment modalities by using X-rays, Ultrasounds, MRIs and other imaging combinations to guide tiny instruments and catheters through the vascular, biliary, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, and respiratory pathways in the body, or directly through the skin, to treat diseases precisely at their source. These minimally invasive procedures do not require surgery, creating many advantages to patients.
His clinical interests include chemo- and radio- embolizations and thermoablations in interventional oncology, uterine fibroid embolizations, fallopian tube recanalization, treatment of arteriovenous malformations, spine interventions, endocrinologic interventions, management of peripheral arterial diseases, treatment of varicose veins as well as maintenance of dialysis access.
Dr. Sobolevsky has received numerous academic and research awards throughout his career as well as published articles in peer-reviewed journals. He has been actively involved in training fellows, residents, and medical students. |
