Chaim Kabalkin, MD, has been an attending physician in the Department of Cardiology since 2000. He practices clinical cardiology in, both, the outpatient and inpatient setting. Dr. Kabalkin's focus has been on noninvasive cardiovascular diagnostic imaging, primarily echocardiography (both transthoracic and transesophageal), and vascular ultrasonography. He has expanded his practice to encompass many facets of vascular disease, such as carotid artery and peripheral vascular disease.
Dr. Kabalkin has been published in several medical journals, including the American Journal of Cardiology, Hospital Medicine and The Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography. He has presented at national meetings -- most recently at the American Chest Physicians annual meeting, where he presented a paper titled "Anticoagulation in patients with pacemaker rhythm and underlying atrial fibrillation."
Dr. Kabalkin is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. He is also board certified in Adult Echocardiography.
