Dr. Diana E. Chavkin is a fellowship trained specialist in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, who is committed to helping women optimize their reproductive health. She offers patient-centered, compassionate treatments for individuals who want to begin or add to their families, with a focus on personalized care, primarily at Genesis Fertility in Dyker Heights.
Dr. Chavkin is dedicated to exploring methods for fertility preservation in cancer patients such as egg cryopreservation. She has a special interest in working with women with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and in improving IVF protocols, especially for women with diminished ovarian reserve and advanced age. A skilled laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgeon, Dr. Chavkin specializes in the surgical treatment of benign conditions that can impair fertility such as uterine fibroids, uterine anomalies, pelvic adhesive disease and uterine polyps. She also has extensive experience treating endometriosis and ovarian cysts both medically and surgically.
Dr. Chavkin completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency and her sub-specialty fellowship training at the University of Pennsylvania and earned her medical degree from New York University. Prior to her medical training, she graduated from Barnard College with bachelors degrees in Psychology and History. She was elected to Phi Beta Kappa while taking her pre-medical courses.
Board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and board-eligible in Reproductive Endocrinology, Dr. Chavkin has authored research papers in peer-reviewed journals, as well as book chapters. She is an active member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. |
