Life before med school: Trying to figure out how to get into med school

Why Maimo: It felt like the most comfortable fit for me.  Most people are super chill while also very enthusiastic about EM.  The patient population is super sick and (even though there is not much trauma) there is plenty of action in the resus bays.  Also, it is a very non-malignant program so I actually enjoy being around my co-workers inside and outside of work.

Why I chose NYC: I wanted to get out of the south for a minute and have always been interested in NYC.  It's a great place to train because in EM residency we have a lot of random days off, more weekdays than weekends, and there is always something to do no matter what day it is.
