Maimonides Medical Center’s purpose is to provide high quality, compassionate care to every patient who comes to one of our facilities, regardless of his or her ability to pay. Concerns about a hospital bill should never stop anyone from getting medically necessary care.
If you do not have health insurance and worry that you may be unable to pay your hospital bill in full, it is important that you let us know. WE MAY BE ABLE TO HELP. Based on your place of residence, family income, assets, and family size, you may qualify for services at reduced fees through Maimonides’ Financial Assistance Program.
The program assists uninsured patients who:
- Have family incomes of up to three times the federal poverty level; and
- Meet a liquid asset test; and
- Do not qualify for publicly subsidized health insurance (i.e., Medicaid, Family Health Plus, Child Health Plus, Prenatal Care Assistance Program); and
- Cannot afford to pay the cost of their medical care.
Maimonides Medical Center will reduce the fees for eligible patients seeking medically necessary inpatient, outpatient, ancillary, ambulatory, clinic, psychiatric or emergency care. Cosmetic procedures, anesthesia services, co-payments and deductibles are not included. Physician and certain other professionals’ services are also excluded.
Maimonides Medical Center’s Financial Assistance application may be completed with the assistance of one of our financial counselors and is available in the following languages: Arabic, Bengali, Chinese, Creole, French, Italian, Polish, Russian, Spanish, Urdu, Yiddish
