My name is Dr. Robert Rhee and I am a New York City native who joined the Maimonides Medical Center family in March of 2012 as Chief of the Vascular and Endovascular Surgery program.
Previously, I served as the Clinical Director of Vascular Services at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) in Pittsburgh, PA for 17 years. Being recruited to lead a truly comprehensive vascular surgery program within the Maimonides Heart & Vascular Center was a unique opportunity for me to work with other national leaders in the fields of cardiology and cardiac surgery in a cohesive multidisciplinary program.
One of the most active current focuses of the Maimonides Heart & Vascular Center is to offer state of the art treatment strategies for patients with serious aortic diseases. My background as a national leader in this field, and an active participant in many significant aortic device trials, allows my team to offer the latest and most proven surgical and endovascular treatments.
