The Maimonides Neurosurgery Team

Successful treatment for brain and spinal tumors calls for a multidisciplinary team of experts to oversee the care. At Maimonides Cancer Center, that team of experts includes dedicated neurosurgeons, pediatric neurosurgeons, neurologists, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, radiologists, neuropathologists, neuroanesthesiologists, specially trained nurses and physician assistants, critical care nurses, a social worker, a nutritionist, a psychologist, and other clinical personnel—all working closely together to provide the highest level of care for the patient while preserving their quality of life.

Maimonides Cancer Center also provides excellent continuity of care throughout the entire treatment process for brain and spinal tumors. Our dedicated and experienced neurosurgical physician assistants are always on hand, day and night, to guide patients through every step—from the surgical intensive care unit to the step-down unit to recovery.
